  • Understand the 5-Year Legacy Pension Exit Measure: the timelines, processes, and potential implications for exiting legacy pensions. 
  • Explain the new Reserve Allocation Rules: the allowable allocations from reserves, how they are assessed for contribution caps, and the specific exemptions available. 
  • Identify clients who may be eligible to apply the new rules: understand the eligibility criteria for utilising the pension exit measure or reserve allocation rules.

Important advice opportunity: understand the legacy pension exit measure and new reserve allocation rules.  

This webinar provides an overview of the new 5-year legacy pension exit measure and the new rules for allocating amounts from reserves within superannuation funds, both of which commenced on December 7, 2024.

Attendees will gain insights into simplifying legacy retirement income structures, managing tax implications and contribution caps, and understanding exemptions under these new regulations. With practical examples identifying the challenges of navigating these complex pension structures, this session equips financial professionals with knowledge to act on the opportunities available to clients from these significant changes. 

The session will include a demonstration of how to apply these new measures in SuperConcepts’ SMSF administration platform, SuperMate.

  • 1.25 hour live online event with opportunity to ask questions of the presenters
