This webinar is part of our SMSF Workshop: Compliance, strategy and tax essentials series.

This practical session is designed for accountants ready to deepen their understanding of SMSF retirement strategies. Learn how to guide your clients through the complexities of starting and maintaining pensions in an SMSF, and how to ensure they stay eligible for the associated tax concessions.

We will unpack transfer balance cap reporting requirements, common mistakes in TBAR reporting, and best practices for market valuations when clients move into retirement phase or partially commute pensions.

The session also explores key SMSF investment compliance traps, such as borrowing arrangements, in-house assets, related-party transactions, and arm’s length requirements, giving you the confidence to proactively identify and address risk areas before audit time.
