More SMSF trustees are exploring private loans, but too many are doing it without understanding the rules, and it’s accountants like you left to pick up the pieces.

Join SMSF specialist Jason Hurst in this practical, accountant-focused webinar that takes you behind the scenes of real-life client scenarios involving SMSF loans. From related party arrangements to risky investments in unlisted entities, you’ll hear what’s going wrong, why, and how to guide your clients through the complexity before they land in hot water.

You will walk away with clarity on:

  • How to assess if a loan meets the sole purpose test
  •  The arm’s length and in-house asset rules in action
  • What to document so the auditor doesn’t come knocking
  • The red flags to raise when clients ask ‘can we?  and how to reframe it as ‘should we?’
  • Avoiding audit delays caused by poor planning and misunderstood structures

Whether you’re already fielding client questions about SMSF loans or suspect they’re coming soon, this is one session you can’t afford to miss.

Registration includes:

  • 1.25 hour on-demand event
  • 1.25 accredited CPD hours from the SMSF Association/Financial Advice Association of Australia
  • Recording and materials available to access for 3 months after purchasing the event
