Breaking news! SMSFs and property development

$120.00 +GST

The ATO has just issued a Taxpayer Alert (TA 2023/2) outlining their concerns with respect to SMSFs and property development projects. In particular, they are closely reviewing arrangements where the fund is obtaining concessional tax treatment even if the SMSF itself is not directly involved in the non-arm’s length dealings.

Following the SMSF Regulator’s Bulletin 2020/1 covering SMSFs and property development, this session will update you on the latest arrangement outlined in the Taxpayer Alert that the ATO is reviewing, and what you should do if you have entered into or are considering entering into such arrangements. We will explain the significant tax and SISA implications where taxpayers are caught and how to avoid coming under scrutiny from the ATO.

Registration to this event includes:

  • 1 hour recording
  • Recording and materials available to download for 3 months after purchasing the event
  • SMSF Association accredited CPD certificate for 1 hour
