It’s the sole purpose that matters

A self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) needs to meet the sole purpose test to be eligible for the tax concessions normally available to superannuation funds. This requires an SMSF to be maintained for the sole purpose of providing retirement benefits to members, or to their dependants if a member dies.

Satisfying the sole purpose test is not a simple ‘tick-a-box’ exercise – it’s the guiding principle behind every transaction, every investment, and every decision made by trustees. It also requires the SMSF trustees to have relevant evidence to demonstrate compliance with the sole purpose test.

Join Anthony Cullen for a deep dive into the sole purpose test and its application to an SMSF. Anthony will explore relevant cases, rulings, determinations, and impact statements to provide you with a comprehensive understanding. Case studies will also be used to demonstrate a practical application of the principles of the sole purpose test.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to gain insights into the application of the sole purpose test to SMSFs. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a budding accountant eager to sharpen your skills, this webinar is your ticket to mastering the sole purpose test and taking your SMSF game to the next level.
