Accurium is excited to announce a significant expansion of its education and technical services offering. Already an award winner for its SMSF education, Accurium is expanding into the broader tax space to provide a comprehensive professional development offering for accountants.

Doug McBirnie, Managing Director of Accurium, shares his excitement about this new venture, “Our experience in providing superannuation education for over 10 years positions us well to meet the emerging needs of our accounting clients. We are thrilled to expand our services to include tax education, strengthening our relationships with our clients.”

To support this expansion, Accurium is pleased to announce the appointment of two highly experienced educators to its team. Lee-Ann Hayes, a seasoned professional with over 25 years’ experience as a senior tax trainer, will assume the role of Head of Tax Education. Accompanying her is Anthony Cullen, a well-known figure in the SMSF accounting industry, who will support the Head of SMSF Education, Mark Ellem, and take on the role of Senior SMSF Educator.

In response to the current perfect storm of labour shortages, evolving regulations, and mounting client demands within the accounting industry, Accurium is also launching a technical helpdesk. The new service will deliver timely, consider and practical advice on taxation and superannuation issues to support busy accounting practices.

According to McBirnie, “Everyone is looking for ways to work more efficiently. Our helpdesk service will extend the expertise of our clients by providing direct access to our team of tax and superannuation experts.”

To support the delivery of these initiatives, Accurium is also pleased to unveil its new online education platform. The Accurium Education platform consolidates SMSF and tax resources, online training, interactive courses, in-house training and the technical helpdesk in a single accessible space.

“Over 4,000 accounting firms trust us for their actuarial certificates and SMSF CPD. They know us for our approachable expertise and efficient online delivery, and we are bringing these same attributes to our education offering. Professional development doesn’t have to be a chore or box ticking exercise. Our training aims to be engaging, practical and provide tangible benefits to our clients’ businesses” McBirnie said.
